My Story

My name is Sam and I am the owner/head baker for The Lost Lotus Bakery. I grew up in a small town in Iowa, where simple things were valued and food was a way of bringing people together. In 2021, I moved to California looking for a change.

I started baking during a time when I felt a little lost and needed something real to focus on. I was looking for something that required patience, care, and presence. Baking became that anchor. One recipe at a time, it turned into a way to create comfort, structure, and joy. What began as a personal journey has grown into something that brings joy to others. This is an in-home bakery, intentionally small and thoughtfully run. Every item is made in a clean, licensed home kitchen where quality, care, and attention to detail come first.

Today, our bakery is built on that same intention. We believe in slowing down, using 100% organic ingredients, and making things by hand, the way they’re meant to be made. Every loaf, pastry, and dessert comes from a place of care, simplicity, and quiet dedication.
